The original inspiration for this piece comes from my experience watching the Pacific Ocean, specifically the Southern region in front of the Peruvian and Chilean shorelines. From this, I took a material approach in which I tried to evoke the behavior of a glisson system in an instrumental context.

The proposed notation simulates the parameterization found on particle synthesis controls, abstracting the acting elements of the performer towards more primeval forms, separating the actions that compose a traditional gesture, directing sound towards possibilities that attempt against the idiomatic logic of the string instrument.
