Score

The year 2020 is not just the year of Beethoven, but also of the famous German writer Friedrich Hölderlin and the Philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. In my homage I gave myself the challenge to use the theme of the "Grosse Fuge" by Beethoven and write a Passacaglia of it. Each Variations uses quotes from famous Beethoven pieces that I used to transcribe the Fugue. The instrumental writing is inspired by the dialectics between the left and right hand, which the instrumentalists need to reconcile and synthesize into a single voice line, which thus destabilizes the lyric.
